Biography

Was born in Berlin. She studied voice at the Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler” in Berlin. She made her debut in 1999 at the Hamburg State Opera. She has held guest engagements at the Staatsoper Berlin, the Opernhaus Zurich, the Opéra de Nice, the Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck, the Staatstheater Nürnberg, the Opera House Graz, the Komische Oper Berlin, and the Staatsoper Hamburg. She appeared as Ada in Wagner‘s Die Feen under Marc Minkowski at the Châtelet in Paris in 2009, and in the same year sang Sieglinde in Die Walküre (in a concert performance) with the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich and Ariadne at the Opéra du Rhin in Strasbourg. She debuted the roles of Isolde and Gutrune in Götterdämmerung at the Paris Opera 2011. Previous appearances at the Oper Leipzig include Eva in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, Ada in Die Feen, Isabella in Das Liebesverbot, Sieglinde in Die Walküre and Brünnhilde in Götterdämmerung and Die Walküre, 2020/21 Senta in The Flying Dutchman.
